GODAN promotes open data to achieve food security

GODAN stands for Global Open Data for Agriculture and Nutrition and it wants us all to know its name

GODAN (Global Open Data for Agriculture and Nutrition) is a UK, US, United Nations and Food and Agriculture Organisation-supported initiative founded by the G7 in 2015. Its purpose is to promote the proactive sharing of Open Data to make information about agriculture and nutrition available, accessible and usable to deal with the urgent challenge of ensuring world food security. Based in Montreal, GODAN is supported by a Secretariat hosted primarily at the McGill University in Montreal, Canada's second largest city.
