Humblesticks is an upcycling furniture and lighting studio based in rural South Wales, borne out of a passion for Mid Century design and the belief that the age of mass production has already produced enough.
We restore and reinvent overlooked furniture and objects to create fun, fresh design with a distinctly 21st Century aesthetic - and a large dollop of humour wherever possible!
Led by skilled furniture maker Keith Sealey, we make beautiful bespoke wooden furniture, both fitted and free-standing here in our Lutterworth workshops. We make bespoke kitchens, bathrooms, home offices, storage units and individual pieces of furniture such as desks or chests of drawers. We use only FSC-certified woods such as European oak and US black walnut. We work with you to achieve exactly you want and we do all the installation work ourselves.
Modish Living is a family-run business specialising in beautiful British-made reclaimed wood furniture for your home.
Modish Living offers timeless and stylish designs that are robust, environmentally-friendly, and made to the dimensions you need.
Co-founder Hellen Barlow says Modish Living furniture is designed to work in country cottages or modern apartments. It sources wood mainly from the UK and timber is between 50 and 200 years old. Once it's been cleaned, sanded and de-nailed, it's given a natural wax finish and the rich patina of the wood shines through. A white limewash finish is also available on some pieces if you prefer the Scandinavian look.

Majeurs Chesterfield specialises in the expert restoration, repair and reupholstery of antique and vintage Chesterfield furniture; and it also makes new leather or fabric-covered Chesterfield sofas and chairs, working with small furniture makers in the UK.
Founder Demi Owoseje trained as a leather restorer and upholsterer and she and her team are able to repair pieces that may look beyond repair to the untrained eye.
Majeurs Chesterfield pieces can be found at Clarence House and at 10 Downing Street and it's fast becoming the go-to company for anyone looking for a new or restored Chesterfield; it also offers second-hand pieces that haven't been restored for customers who like the shabby chic or well-worn look of a vintage leather Chesterfield. You can also hire a sofa, for example if you need one for a film set.
