Nissan Energy Roam: new portable power unit

Nissan launches a portable power unit made from recovered batteries from its Leaf electric cars. The units can even be charged up from a solar panel accessory

Unveiled at the Brussels Motor Show, the unit gives you electricity on the move

Nissan Energy Roam offers electricity on the move or in places where there's no supply. Comprising second-life batteries recovered from Nissan LEAF electric vehicles which have come to the end of their life, Nissan Energy ROAM is designed to bring sustainable energy technology to everyone. The power pack can even be recharged using a solar panel accessory, making it a truly ‘off-grid’ power solution. Recharging time, energy output and price info not available at this time but we'll keep you posted.
