Organic cotton kids' bathrobe, the perfect gifts for any child
Fox Organic Kids
Kemp House, 152 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX
phone: 07716 266707
Organic cotton bathrobes from Fox Organic Kids are the perfect gift for a child - warm, comfortable, comforting, and very stylish.

Launched in south London in 2009 by Heather Lizamore, Quick Brown Fox of Dulwich is a UK company specialising in children's bed and bath linen.

Using only organic cotton, our products are manufactured in Portugal. Every item we offer is Oeko Tex 100 rated and features playful prints that appeal to kids but don't offend parents' sense of style.

By manufacturing in Portugal we not only get to tap into the country's rich textile heritage and skills but we benefit from having the flexibility for smaller print runs.

We're passionate about the environmental and health benefits of organically-grown cotton - and the cotton we use is certified by GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) as a base cloth. It's then processed to our specifications and made up into products that carry the Oeko Tex 100 rating.

As our customers are toddlers and children, it's vital to us that our products contain no harmful chemicals and it's equally important that youngsters love our designs - and we have it on good authority that they do.
Tog Knives are a must for serious cooks
Tog Knives
Glenside, Oxleaze Lane, Dundry, Bristol, BS41 8LA

Tog knives are, according to many top chefs, the best money can buy. They're superbly sharp and durable and they make preparing food a joy.

Designed by industrial designer Rob Beagley-Brown, a Tog knife is a hand-made, batch-produced artisan product. The blades are forged in Japan's Seki City - home of the Samurai sword - from a unique steel that contains three different metals. A high carbon core gives them their incredible edge. The beautiful handles are made for us in Sheffield using the Norwegian material Kebony maple (a durable and eco-friendly alternative to tropical hardwood); and the knives, which are intended to last for decades, come with a lifetime guarantee (*but don't put them in the dishwasher!).

Phil Howard, chef and co-owner of two Michelin-starred The Square restaurant in London's Mayfair says this about his Tog knife: 'I'm not a knife geek but I do love a truly great knife. My Tog is one such piece of crucial kit.'

If you're thinking about a gift that's useful, affordable and pretty, a woven grass basket from BasketBasket is the answer.

Our colourful hardwearing baskets are handmade from sustainable grasses and other plants by talented artisans from family-run businesses in Morocco, Ghana and Madagascar. We pay fair trade prices, providing work for local people and preserving skills for future generations. We use eco-friendly packaginging and there are no plastics used anywhere in our natural baskets.

BasketBasket is a family-run business in Hampshire. Having developed a love of baskets while living in France, founder Virginia Seeckts found it frustrating when she returned to the UK that she couldn't find lovely baskets here. So she launched Basket Basket in 2008 selling fairly traded natural baskets – a truly eco-friendly alternative to the plastic shopping bag.

We import mainly via road and sea, but to offset our carbon we are members of the Woodland Trust which creates new woods throughout the UK.

At Lindleywood we design and hand-make original, fun wooden bird boxes and other products for home and garden. We also use only British suppliers; so we buy our sustainable European redwood pine from a local wood-merchant and use hardwearing non-toxic wood paints from an independent UK manufacturer. Our products are often in the national media, such as on ITV's Love Your Garden and The Alan Titchmarsh Show. They make ideal gifts for all occasions where you want to give something that's well-made and unique.
