High Seas Treaty is a winner in this year's Earthshot Prize
The High Seas Treaty has won the Revive Our Oceans category of the Earthshot Prize 2025
The prize is recognition of the global effort to protect nearly half of our planet that lies beyond national jurisdiction, say the organisers behind the High Seas Treaty This year's award ceremony took place in Rio de Janeiro, with the prize's founder Prince William announcing the five winners. The other prizes went to re.green, winner of the Protect and Restore Nature category; the city of Bogota, winner of the Clean Our Air category; Lagos Fashion Week, winner of the Build a Waste-Free World category; and Friendship, Bangladesh-based winner of the Fix Our Climate category
