Sustainability design and construction showroom opens in London

If we're to meet our net zero goals, our towns and cities must use far more sustainable materials than concrete and glass. The approx 2,400 sq ft space covers three floors showcasing the latest green building materials and products, with collaborative workspaces and expert staff on hand to advise professionals and members of the public alike. 

George Papatheodorou, CEO of EDGE London, is relieved the environmental imperative is rising to the top of our agendas: 'We spend 80 per cent of our time indoors and at a time when the debate surrounding humankind’s impact on the earth, its climate and the people who inhabit it continues to intensify, it's more important than ever that we have a responsible attitude to material specification. To do so requires makers and manufacturers to take a considered approach to sustainability.'

He says EDGE London believes the need to innovate to cut CO2 emissions is resulting in excellent products that will help us achieve greener built environments.
