EDGE is an impressive new showroom dedicated to eco design and build now open in the Marylebone district of cental London

Edge London is a new showroom dedicated to sustainability in design and build

Head to EDGE London if you're planning a project and want to use the most sustainable materials and products. The first showroom of its kind in the capital, EDGE (Eco Design Green Environment) offers environmentally-friendly brands and serves as an eco hub where green materials suppliers and specifiers, architects and designers can connect

If we're to meet our net zero goals, our towns and cities must use far more sustainable materials than concrete and glass. So whether your project is small or large, domestic or contract, sustainability must be at its core as much as aesthetics - which is where the new Edge showroom can help. The approx 2,400 sq ft space covers three floors showcasing the latest green building materials and products, with collaborative workspaces and expert staff on hand to advise professionals and members of the public alike.

George Papatheodorou, CEO of EDGE London, is relieved the environmental imperative is rising to the top of our agendas: 'We spend 80 per cent of our time indoors and at a time when the debate surrounding humankind’s impact on the earth, its climate and the people who inhabit it continues to intensify, it's more important than ever that we have a responsible attitude to material specification. To do so requires makers and manufacturers to take a considered approach to sustainability.'

He says EDGE London believes the need to innovate to cut CO2 emissions is resulting in excellent products that will help us achieve greener built environments.
